about acumen

acumen was established in 1995, and works with a wide variety of organisations in the UK and Europe.

We have particular expertise in working with people at the front end - where quality, service standards and expertise are delivered.

We believe that learning is best achieved when people set their own learning agendas, have the opportunity to learn in their own way (by action, reflection or both), and are encouraged and supported in the practical implementation of what they have learnt.

Our programmes are experiential, engaging and based around workplace realities. We provide a rich and varied training environment, where participants can integrate knowledge and experience from the training into their ongoing work. We find that modular programmes - spaced to provide opportunities to absorb, reflect upon and apply learning in manageable portions - have great benefits.
